There will always be bugs - Concentrating on how quickly you find them and well you address the problems they cause will improve your user experience in the long term.
The bulk of performance problems I deal with are in flawed data design and retrieval - Infinite loops, unnecessary data lookup, and just downright shaky code.
I can help with most programming challenges, but generally concentrate on the Microsoft technologies (VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, etc.). I've found these to be the most widely used and supported. I also work with integrating applications for a more efficient environment - Syncing orders with QuickBooks, looking up UPS rates, USPS mail manifest systems, etc - Anything that can help you boost productivity and profit.
